Feeling powerful this Wednesday!

Hump Day Wednesday is finally here!

But, before we begin………..Words to the wise!

Remember, you pick your pace depending on your body mechanics! You are in charge of yourself. I’m here to motivate! Clue into your perceived exertion rate!

Let’s go BABIES! Let’s get THIS!

 

Warm up for 5 minutes

Go all out for 30 seconds and rest for 15 seconds

Continue alternating for 20-25 minutes

Get creative with 4 different plyometric movements.

Example:

speed skaters

burpees

squat jacks

jump switch lunges

battling ropes with a plyo jump or jump squat

Then you get creative with 4 movements that isolate abdominals from a plank position!  Yes, I said it, my beloved planks!

Execute 3 sets / 12 reps / @ 15 second rest between movements.

Now, its on to 6 compound strengtheners for the Biceps and Triceps.  Lets get creative with the yellow tube!

30 seconds of each movement, rolling from front (bicep) to back (tricep) body until a variety of 6 different movements are achieved.

No wellness program is complete without a functional, active stretching sequence prior to workout.  Warming up the muscles that will be my major work horses.

After completing this incredibly fun and challenging workout, I always make time, weather it be a short duration of time or a relaxing block of dedicated time to my FUNCTIONAL FLEXIBILITY movements for RESETTING my muscles used and to help decrease the level of soreness and functional movements at the joint for the following days.

With fitness as my life’s passion, I have witnessed first hand the relevance and importance of a flexibility program to compliment any wellness mission.
